| Commemorative Puzzles for Special Occasions |

A very interesting use of custom puzzles is to use them as a 'guest book' for a special event, such as a birthday, wedding,
engagement party, corporate gathering, club event, etc.
All 'Party Puzzles', as I call them, are made with 1/4" basswood plywood, chosen because it finishes beautifully, perfect for signing
the backs of the pieces.
I can make these puzzles up to 13" X 18", which is good for up to 90 big pieces. Most of the Party Puzzles I have made have been
grid cut (traditional puzzle pieces), but any of my cutting styles (see Style page) may be used.
Shown below is a puzzle I made recently, the pictures of which are used with the permission of my customer.

I added some text to the photo, and the customer was pleased with the color adjustment and retouching of the photo for debris on the floor and some other flaws. |

| After signing and assembly! The puzzle shows up a little darker here due to the camera flash. After this competition, these kids were unlikely to ever see each other as a group again, so each took their piece home with them as a memento. I was told that the assembling of the puzzle was great fun, and the "parting out" was very touching and meaningful. The puzzle made such an impact that two families purchased replicas for themselves. |
